Each orthophoto reconstruction uses the projected path with a 10m (33ft) buffer around it for its area calculation (see figure below). The orthophoto covers a lower range than the point cloud to increase the accuracy of the orthophoto. Passes over the same area twice do not double the reconstruction buffer range.
The benefit of this area calculation is the we allow our customers to capture to the highest level of detail and accuracy!
