Administrator Rights Needed

In order to create a shared Code Library with your organization, you require Administrative rights as a user

Everyone has access to the "Looq Default" profile, but many organizations may wish to customize this. Organization admins can manage Code Libraries in the "Organization" -> "Code Library" section of the Looq Platform. Code libraries can be created manually, or imported.

Manually: Click the "Add Code" button a specify the following for each feature: Code, Description, Type (Point/Line), Layer. Layers will be used to group and assign a color to similar features. For example, "Top of Curb" and "Flowline" have different feature codes but might both be on the "Roadways" layer.

Import: To import all of your feature codes at once, import a .CSV file in the following format

Field Code Description Type Layer
TC Top of Curb Line Roadways
FL Flowline Line Roadways
SE Spot Elevation Point Terrain

Click Save to make the new Code Profile available to the rest of your organization.

This process can also be done at the site-level when creating a new Virtual Survey, but code profiles created on the site-level will only be tied to that specific site, and not available to the entire organization.

After creating a new site the existing codes cannot be edited, but new ones can be added at any time.
