Mounting the iPhone

Every qCam comes included with an iPhone 8 SE which acts as the screen. The iPhone is used to see the live stream of images from the camera and to send commands, but no images or other data will ever be stored on the iPhone. The qCam has 2 TB of onboard storage.

1. Pick up the provided iPhone and ensure that it is in its Quad-lock case.

2. Hold your iPhone above the mount, aligning the Quad Lock mechanism on the back of the case with the mount.

3. Push the black tab on the mount with your thumb, then place the phone into the mount and twist it 45 degrees until it clicks into place.

4. Give the phone a gentle tug to ensure it’s securely locked in.

Note

The iPhone should be mounted in landscape mode during capture.

Connecting the iPhone to the qCam

The iPhone relies on the qCam's internal WiFi to complete the wireless connection. You can use the included USB-C to Lightning cable to charge the iPhone during capture, but this will not connect it to the qCam for use during capture.

1. Go to 'Settings' on the iPhone and click on 'WiFi'.

2. On the underside of the qCam, there is a serial number which is also the name of the WiFi. Find the serial number in the list of WiFi networks available. For example: "LOOQ Q 3G54S0PE".

3. Once selected, enter the password for the WiFi network. The password is: "12345678".
