The qCam should be updated regularly to help with fixing bugs, improve the user interface, and align with the web app software changes. The following is the instructions on how to do this.
- Turn on the qCam and connect the iPhone.
- Go into the Looq app and go into Networks.
- Set up or select the wifi network that will connect to the internet. (Note that this is in the app, not through iPhone settings!)
- Once connected to the network in the app, select “Check Updates”.
- Click “Ok” when it states that there is an Update available.
- Wait for the update to occur. This may take 10 minutes or more.
- Once the update is finished, you will need to restart the qCam.
Occasionally, the qCam will need to restarted a couple times for the app to work. Give the camera a few minutes to initialize the app, but if it doesn't load, restart the camera. If you need to do this more than 2-3 times, contact support for assistance.
