Current capture may be corrupt

A power loss during a capture can result in file loss or corruption. It will be necessary to power on the device again and restart the capture.

If the qCam becomes non-responsive for any reason, or, shows an error indicating the device must be restarted, please ensure you follow these steps for troubleshooting.

  1. Press the “Shutdown” button to first attempt to shut the device down
  2. If this does not work, then remove the power cable from the qCam to do a hard shutdown of the device
  3. Wait for 5 seconds, and then reconnect power to the qCam
  4. On the iPhone, double click the home button and close all open apps on the device
  5. One the qCam, pay attention to the LED lights when booting. After about 20 seconds the LEDs will flash off and then on again. This indicates a successful boot sequence of the qCam. It is now ready to pair the iPhone
    1. If the lights do not flash, repeat sets 2 to 5 again
  6. On the iPhone, go to Settings => Wifi and connect to the qCam
    1. If the Wifi of the qCam does not show, repeat steps 2 to 6 again
  7. Open the Looq app on the iphone. Or, go to safari and enter looq.local
  8. If the Home Screen of the Looq shows up, then it is ready to start collection
  9. If there are issues or errors at any time during this process, please attempt to manually restart the device starting at step 2 at least three (3) times until the initial issue is resolved.
  10. If the issues or errors are not resolved after three (3) restarts, then you can mark the troubleshooting as failed when you report to Looq

Submit a helpdesk ticket if the issue does not get resolved.
